Release: pop-out single notes into their own windows

August 17th, 2007 - philc

Have you ever wanted to edit just one note, in its own window, and not have your entire Jjot noteboard open in your browser? Well, now you can. Just click the menu in the title bar of your note, and select the new option “pop-out.” Your note will then open in its own window. You can edit it and maximize it like usual, and it will save itself every few seconds. Feel free to close your main Jjot noteboard in your browser if you want to; the popped-out note will stay open.

Enjoy!

Keyboard shortcuts

August 7th, 2007 - philc

Welcome to the Jjot blog! We’ll be posting about new things we build for Jjot. If you want to keep an eye out on what’s new (or if you just want to let us know you’re out there), subscribe to this blog. We’ll have new posts every week or two.

These past weeks, we’ve been hacking on Jjot to make it really smooth by squashing bugs and tuning it in places. But, now that we have the common issues worked out, we’re building some sweet new features to make taking notes with Jjot ridiculously easy, even if you’re not at jjot.com. We can’t wait to show them to you.

Today, we’re just getting started, so we’ve got one thing: keyboard shortcuts. Some we’ve had since the beginning, but some are new. They’re always easy to find in case you forget them — just click the link under your noteboards:

If you can think of any more that would be useful, feel free to email them to us, or leave a comment.
